Mortgage rates rise again Bizjournals.com,?NC Freddie Mac says 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 5.43 percent this week, up from 5.38 percent last week. Rates are still more than 1 percent below year-ago levels, although 30-year mortgages fell as low as 4 3/4 percent earlier this year
